Payment Policy

Spedia, Inc. disburses payments to members on a monthly basis. Members can request payments by clicking on the Request Payment button that will automatically appear on the balance page once the account balance reaches $30.

If the account balance is less than $30, members can still request payments by sending an e-mail to customer service. In that case, due to the high overhead associated with custom payment processing, members will incur a service fee of $30.

If the membership is terminated or canceled for any reason, the member will forfeit all accumulated balances and other bonuses. The member is solely responsible for any taxes on the payments. No more than one ad point can be accumulated for every minute of usage of Spedia service from one and the same user. Accumulated ad points shall have no cash value and the member shall have no property rights or other legal interests in ad points or any referral ad points. Spedia reserves the right to cancel or otherwise change the terms applicable to the Spedia program and its payment policy at any time without further obligation, except as provided by law.

Spedia, Inc. reserves the right to withhold or suspend payments for points earned from a specific advertiser should that advertiser fail to make payment to Spedia, or otherwise violate any of the advertiser's obligations or commitments to Spedia.

The SpediaBar is a free software application that lets you earn money while you surf the Internet. It's a small bar that docks next to your browser (Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) and displays advertising.* You earn one point for each minute you have your SpediaBar open and you actively browse the Internet with normal surfing behavior. This amounts to $0.70 per hour if you are a Premier member.

You get most points when you browse actively

We currently define active Internet browsing as changing URLs every minute. A change of URL is defined as loading of a new browser page. You do not need to click on the ad banners in the SpediaBar in order to accumulate points. Clicking on a SpediaBar banner changes a URL, but this will not get you more points than clicking on a link or banner in your browser. In fact, excessive clicking of banners in the SpediaBar is prohibited!

You earn 5 to 10 points for every commercial e-mail you receive from our advertisers.

You earn unlimited number of points if you shop online using Spedia Shop.

You earn up to 10,000 points if you play Spedia games.

You receive a check from us each month

You will be paid monthly by check when your account exceeds $30.00. Unpaid amounts are automatically carried forward to the next month. Point dollar value may vary from one billing period to another and is calculated at the end of the month.
